The CLS higher-timeframe model

A plain-language guide to the states shown in the workspace. This describes the model vocabulary, not a trading recommendation or private indicator implementation.

1. Liquidity swept

In a bullish sequence, price takes out an older, untaken higher-timeframe swing low. The bearish sequence is the mirror image.

2. Engulf

A later candle closes above the relevant down-close candles in the move, establishing the engulfing context.

3. CLS range

A following inside candle defines the range high, range low and 50% midpoint. The scanner tracks this context across supported higher timeframes.

4. Pre-signal

A forming higher-timeframe candle trades through the range boundary. This is provisional: the candle has not closed and the condition may not become a signal.

5. Signal

A higher-timeframe candle sweeps the boundary and closes back inside the range. The interface presents the entry reference, range midpoint and target when supplied by the connected service.

Continuation model

The continuation, or CONT, model begins with a qualifying directional candle followed by an inside candle. It shares the later range, pre-signal and signal vocabulary.

Invalidation and risk

A wrong-side higher-timeframe close or expiry can invalidate the setup. The model does not define a stop-loss. Do not infer a stop-loss from the displayed range. Trading involves loss of capital; historical setups do not predict returns.

Not financial advice. Trading involves risk, including loss of capital.
